Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her current role is a sportscaster for ESPN, working as an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She began her career at ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her skills were instrumental in securing her first post as a producer assistant at Univision Miami in which she assisted the production of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. It was the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as a sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She was also frequently asked to serve as a sports or weather anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she takes on more responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. The show was promoted to be anchor of the sports segment for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She held the same position in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents hail of Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is also an older sibling. She has an older sister. They divorced shortly thereafter in 1995. Her mother got married to an architect from the naval profession called Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. Her residence was with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer and was given an opportunity to work. Antonietta is a senior in high school, yet she had a clear idea of the path she wanted. When she was deciding whether Mount Union was right to her needs, Antonietta decided to go visit the school. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered her the program she was interested in. After finishing her high school education, she chose to go to the university with a major with Media Studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was student in her class, developed a lasting relationship with her. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
